These are the responses and future plans due to the release of the report :-
1-Three meetings at Welsh Assembly
A-Obtained all party support for P.T.S.S+S.A.V.
B-Opposition spokesperson David Lloyd (practicing G.P in P.T.S.D) has requested to Welsh Health
Authorities any statistics for P.T.S.D in Wales.
C-There has been a short debate at Welsh Assembly concerning Mental and Psychiatric Health. Negative
media reports, general treatment of clients, resources, isolation and public perception of mental /psychiatric
health.
2-Replies received from all Members of Parliament and all Welsh Assembly members.
Mr Andrew Dismore M.P (Labour) Hendon has worked on early cases for compensation, drafted response by
Association of Personal Injury Lawyers to Law Commission on Compensation Psychiatric Injury.
3-Mr David Hinchiliffe M.P Chairman of the Health Committee. No plans for an inquiry into subject at
present
time. (14 October 1999)
4-Mr Jack Straw M.P. The Home Secretary. Passed report on to the Home Office, Justice and Victims Unit

5-Mr Tony Blair M.P, The Prime Minister. Passed report on to Department of Health.
6-Mr John Gunnell M.P (Leeds). Asked if I had sent a copy to Mr D Hincliffle M.P. I therefore sent mailing
list
to him of people in receipt of report and further request hoping it would produce more discussion.
7-Mr Frank Dobson M.P, The Health Secretary at time. Passed on report to National Assembly for Wales.
Reply from Primary and Community Health Division. I have read and carefully noted its contents.
8-Professor Dr J.N. Schreuder (Holland) Centrum 45. Report circulated within its European system.
9-I am now a Member of Newport Health and Social Care Forum. Also member of Newport Borough Social
Services Committee.
10- Now have a computer and will be setting up Web Site by end of 2000 or early 2001.
11-Report on P.T.S.D and System Abuse to be worked on and published at a future date.
12-This report will be networked same as the first report.
13-The Guardian has been approached twice.
A-General Mental/psychiatric Awareness and lack of government promotion.
B-Cost Waterhouse Report (70 pounds) to expensive for small organisations to purchase.
14-Steering Group is still small but will grow in time, as more people become aware of P.T.S.D in South
East
Wales.
15-Dr K Rice-Consultant Psychologist, Adult Services, Ebbw Vale is supporting and promoting A.S.S.I.S.T
from his clinics held there.
